Your aviation footage deserves to be seen.

From the cockpit to the hangar, share the moments that make aviation extraordinary.

No account needed. You keep ownership of your footage.

A contributor program, not a stock site

Pilots, engineers and crews film remarkable things and rarely publish them. Aviation Contributors gives that footage a home: we review every clip by hand, and the best of it is edited and published by Pilote Autrement, for pilots and student pilots.

What we are looking for

We love

  • A steady, real moment captured by someone who was there
  • Videos and photos, vertical or horizontal, ideally 1080p or better
  • Original files straight from your phone or camera
  • Natural sound, even if it is only engine noise

Please do not send

  • Anything you did not film or photograph yourself, unless you hold the rights
  • Screen recordings of other people's videos, or clips with added music
  • Security areas, access codes, sensitive documents or restricted procedures
  • Anything your employer's rules do not allow you to share
  • Filming that distracted you from a safety-critical task

How it works

  1. Choose your clips

Pick them from your phone's gallery or your computer. Originals are preserved, with no compression on our side.

  2. Confirm your rights

A few plain statements, each with its own checkbox. You can read the full license first.

  3. We review by hand

Our team looks at every clip. If we need something, we ask you.

  4. Selected clips get published

We edit them and publish them, with your credit if you want it. We tell you when it goes live.

What you get

An audience that understands your work

Pilote Autrement speaks to people who love aviation and work in it. We can't promise a number of views.

Credit on your terms

Your name, your Instagram handle, or nothing at all. You choose, and you can change your mind.

A real conversation

You talk to the people who watch your footage, and you see the status of every clip.

You keep your footage

Submitting a video never transfers your copyright. If we keep your footage, it is under a non-exclusive license that you can read in full.

Read the full license

You remain the owner

You can keep using your footage however you like, including with others.

What the license allows

Editing, adapting and publishing on our channels, including in advertising, worldwide. The full text gives the duration and the conditions.

You can ask us to stop

You can request withdrawal at any time. We stop new uses, as the license explains.

Exclusive deals are separate

An exclusive license or an assignment would always need a separate signed contract.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. You only need an email address so that we can reach you. You can open your contributor space later with a one-time link sent to that address.

Am I allowed to film this at work?

That depends on your employer, your authority and the country. It is your responsibility to check. Never film during a phase of flight or task where it could compromise safety, and don't send anything your employer forbids.

Can you hide my identity or my airline?

Tell us in the description. You can choose not to be credited, and we avoid publishing anything that identifies a person or a company without the necessary permissions.

What happens to clips you don't select?

They are deleted within 24 hours of the decision, unless you agree otherwise. Abandoned uploads are deleted after 7 days.

Can I change my mind later?

Yes. You can change your credit preferences, ask us to stop using a clip, or delete your account from your contributor space.

My upload stopped. Have I lost everything?

No. Uploads are sent in small parts. If the connection drops, it continues on its own when it returns. If you closed the page, choose the same file on the same device and it picks up where it stopped.

Will the file quality be reduced?

No. We store the file exactly as you send it. We only create a small separate preview for our reviewers.

That clip in your camera roll?

It takes a couple of minutes to send, and you stay in control of it.
